This is the first book that Jefferies has set in Europe so it had a different feel to her other work. It was much more familiar than some some of the other far flung exotic settings but equally as enjoyable.
I loved the feeling of travelling vicariously through Tuscan countryside and into little picturesque villages.
A stunning setting with all the excitement and danger a novel set during World War II brings.
